All Things Fine, Inc.

Alan and Lisa Cook, owners of the fine-dining retailer All Things Fine, Inc, vacationed in their Florida home for five years before contacting New Horizons Group and bidding farewell to the United Kingdom. Familiarity with the area provided the grounds for a life-changing decision.

The Cooks decided to start their own business and apply for an E-2 Treaty Investor visa. Having experience operating a retail enterprise that sold entertainment media such as televisions, VCRs and satellite connections, and also providing repair services, they were experienced with the demands of entrepreneurship. Arming themselves for the move, Lisa and Alan sold their shares of the United Kingdom business in order to help finance the new endeavor in Florida.

“We discussed the product our business was going to sell, and it became apparent that we would have more success if we could bring something special, not just the same old ‘hamburgers and hot dogs’ concept,” Alan said. “We decided to import and sell fine English china, which was originated and is still manufactured in England. The product is popular here in Florida and with us being English, it adds authenticity for our customers.”

When asked to give advice to other foreigners looking to come and live in the United States, Lisa and Alan suggested utilizing professional services when applying for a visa. The couple found New Horizons Group over the Internet. Alan said that he and Lisa were attracted to the company’s one-stop professional services. Alan and Lisa were approved the first time without any major roadblocks.
