Saeed Shafie Pour
Saeed Shafie Pour was a successful U.K. business man who owned petrol stations in South West England. Increasingly he became disenchanted with the restrictions imposed on small businesses resulting in the stifling of his entrepreneurial spirit. Speaking to friends, combined with research he did on the internet, led him to believe that business in the United States was much less restricted and that there was the opportunity for him to develop his commercial plans along the lines he wanted with much less intervention and control than he experienced in the U.K. He did not underestimate the difficulties he might face in obtaining visas to come with his family to the U.S. to start a fresh chapter in their lives.
As luck would have it, he saw an advertisement for New Horizons Group in the Sunday Times, and subsequently met with a well informed representative at the Group's London offices, for a consultation. Following their meeting Saeed says he was full of confidence that he was in safe hands, working with a company he felt he could trust to guide him through the visa applications and ultimately, successfully through the green card process.
In 2001, Saeed bought an engineering company in California and with his visa in his passport came to the U.S. to pave the way for his family's new life. Saeed admits there were inevitably low times when living away from family and friends, with whom his family has strong ties. His family has now firmly adjusted to the American way and their new life here in the U.S., and as long as they are able to visit the U.K. once a year they are very happy with their new lifestyle.
Saeed has quickly adjusted to doing business in a different way than he had been used to in the U.K.; but then he does say he is now living in a foreign country, so things will be different. His business has blossomed under his careful management and he is now in the process of buying another.
Throughout the process from visa to Green Card, Saeed recalls he was always able to call the helpful staff at New Horizons Group should he have any questions or concerns and that they were always able to assist him in a professional and helpful way. He says he could not have wished for better people to deal with, they were always there and so helpful and understanding.
Saeed has achieved his dream to bring his family to the U.S., to be able to reap the many benefits of the American way of life and to own and operate a successful company which he has built through his hard work, business acumen, and determination.
